RecipesColeslaw Salad("Everyone I serve this to craves more.") Ingredients: 1 package of shredded coleslaw 1 package of Top Ramen 1/3 cup silvered almonds 1 tablespoon sesame seeds Dressing: ("I make this before leaving home.") 1/2 cup oil 3 tablespoons white vinegar or rice vinegar 2 tablespoon sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 chicken packet from Top Ramen Shake stir or blend all dressing ingredients together. Place dry Top Ramen into quart size zip lock and step on it until crushed into small pieces. ("My five-year-old loves this job.") Toasting almonds- Almonds take on a greater taste when toasted. Preheat toaster oven or oven 350F. Spread almonds in single layer on baking sheet. Bake, stirring once or twice, until lightly browned. 5-10 minutes. Let cool. Add almonds and sesame seeds to crushed Top Ramen. When ready to serve toss everything together and eat soon. It will become soggy with time. Serve with teriyaki chicken and rice. ("I get frozen skinless boneless chicken thighs.") Put teriyaki sauce in bag with thighs in freezer until the day of using them. Defrost. Then BBQ. ("I am a white meat lover, but I suggest thighs because they are very moist and full of flavor") | ||||
