Well, we did it. Today we bought myself a new 700R and got the Raptor 250 for Colton. Now Colton will have to learn to use the clutch and gears and I will have to learn not to kill myself, Ha Ha : ) We bought them at Naumes Oregon Motorsports a great club sponsor, and they made me a great deal. Jeanne said she'll let me keep the Predator now and she'll take the Yamaha, (I don't think so). : ) Both the new quads are gray and red, and lookin' sweet.

Collton a bit hesitant at first - has now got the clutch down. Although I haven't taught him 2nd gear yet. Posted on: May 12, 2008, 08:20:02 AM Colton did awesome this week end, and loves his new quad. I had turned down the accelerator all the way, but when we go to the sand I had to turn it up another 4 turns (originally down 10) so there is some left to go.
We had a great time riding Florence the first day, and Winchester the second. It was crowded, but we found good riding areas to enjoy ourselves.
Haceta Beach camp ground is a very nice place, and the owners treated us very graciously. I recommend it to all. You have to trailer to the dunes, but the camp ground makes up for the work. Plus - we found being close to town has some benefits too. The camp sites are large and with the bushes lining either side you feel much more private than other camps. Also the bathrooms are very clean and nice. No reason not to stop here.

Nice, It's always good to hear that and to know it's not always about being right on the dunes. It sounds like an RV park that will be getting much more action from our folks.

Ya Ratmeat, I think you're the one that sold me on the idea - when I saw you at Winchester for the Clean up week end.

That little 250 is one dang good bike so far!
Ours has been drag raced on two different weekends at Albany, and we have had no real issues. It fires right up and runs hard for a small bike
