I am wondering on what is the best water pressure regulator that doesn't decrease the flow rate. These cheapo regulators cut the flow rate to next to nothing. What has worked best for some of you?
I was given a regulator when I bought my first used 5th wheel. I never used it. Most camp grounds do not have the greatest pressure to begin with since they are on pump systems. Most city water systems are around 50 psi and home well systems will depend on the pressure tank usually set at 60psi at the top end to 40 psi on the bottom. I have camped at the KOA and Odd-Fellows on the coast and did not use a regulator on their water hook ups. My home water has 70psi on the top and 50 psi on the bottom with 12 gpm. I have never had a failure hooked up at home. However, this could be just stupid luck and I am on the verge of breaking a pipe.
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a disillusioned, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
It is a very good idea to use a pressure reducer. Specially in older models, The pipes are made of different materials these days than they used to be. The older hard plastic type pipe will split more easily than the new clear poly type.... JM2C.
