It was a cool weekend and We seem to have all the cool toys. Now it is time to mod the genny. I think I will start with a full pipe, cold air intake, and some porting and milling of the head. We will see how many watts it will put out then. By the way it is an onan marque gold 5500. Maybe even a billet cover.  Grin

I'm going with a racing pipe and kick starter to save weight.  Then, Elka is designing some anti vibration springs to help smooth out the increased power from transferring to the frame of the trailer.  I might even set it up to run on alcohol!

That's one sip for me, one for the generator...
two sips for me and one for the generator...

I'm thinking of getting the CDi box to increase the rev. limiter up to 2500 rpm.  You should see how bright the lights in the RV will be then!

What about wheelie bars for the back of the fifth wheel and a parachute??

I think vp needs to follow the sand cat during dune fest, thats the only way he can keep from plowing sand with his front tanks on the hauler!

So my 5500 Onan Marquis Gold currently displaces a V-twin with 653cc's with 12.9 bhp.
The KFX 700 has 697cc's and 46 hp.
I think I feel an engine swap coming on!

The 5th Wheel would look very cool with dual exhaust (one on each side) poking out.
Or maybe throw away the gas engine, get Shane to twin a 5.9 common rail and go with 6" stacks on each side.
I could power the whole campground...
