Winchester Patrol getting more serious
« on: May 04, 2007, 10:34:11 PM »

Yes They Are getting tired of the fools who race down the sand road.  They do not have any humor on this subject or speeding past the sand camps.  Which in my opinon is only right.  My daughter got broadsided while being the tailgunner on a tour.  cost me and new rear axle,, wheel and lots of grief from momma,  haha the worst part. By the way she is 35 and was on a scrambler, what it had been 8 and an 80cc,  would have been a whole different story.
Then there's those fools in the sand rails with long travel just motoring down the road and couldn't stop if they tried when you come out of one of those side trails on the sand road.

I agree - I've always told my son and wife the road to the dunes is the most dangerous of all.  You can't see who's coming or from where.  I also think it's a privilege allowing us to ride from Windy Cove to the sand road, and I wouldn't like my truck pounded with rocks from sand tires and guys going too fast.

Just today I was down at the Half Moon Bay campground and seen a deputy giving a couple of people tickets for riding to fast on the access road. I heard it is a $400.00 fine for riding to fast there. I totally agree to.  I have tried so many times to try to get people to slow down on that road and all they do is flip me off or want to get into a fight with me. Well let me tell all of you. Chris Knoffsinger deputy sheriff, and his partner is tired of it to. They set in hiding places and just wait for those jerks to come screaming down the road and then stop them and make there day.  The road is clearly posted at 10 MPH.

Hmmmm, wonder what the ratio of fools on quads to fools in sandrails are out in the Oregon dunes ?

I understand where Bumblebee is comming from.  You have to live here and be down at the access road to really know what he is meaning. Quads and rails both see how fast they can ride down the woops on the access road.  But I think a couple of $400.00 tickets to those fools will open there eyes.
