Uncle Dune Dude to the rescue...
Iridium IX®
The Spark Plug Serious Enthusiasts Rely On Iridium IX Spark Plugs are the most technologically advanced high performance plugs available. Featuring a 0.6 mm iridium center electrode tip, they offer superior ignitability without sacrificing durability. The tapered ground electrode increases flame kernel expansion, while the superior heat range design is ideally suited to the demands of high performance environments. Specially designed to meet the needs of serious enthusiasts, Iridium IX Spark Plugs offer outstanding acceleration, high fuel efficiency and long life. When you demand the most from your engine, rely on the proven performance of NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs.
NGK's new Iridium IX is the personification of these qualities and takes premium performance spark plugs to a new level. A level that is expected from the world leader in spark plugs.
The future has never looked so good.
Denso Iridium spark plugs
Iridium: 8 times stronger than platinum, 6 times harder, and with a melting point 1200 degrees higher. New laser welding techniques make it possible to make a spark plug with an iridium electrode. The result is a plug that requires less voltage to spark, burns more of the fuel in the cylinder, and can spark at LEANER air/fuel mixtures (see inset diagram), resulting in higher horsepower and better gas mileage.
Although the plugs are expensive, you don't have to change them as often as garden variety spark plugs. The iridium electrode is extremely resistant to erosion, so it can last MUCH longer than a normal plug. (Longevity will vary by usage, fuel mixture, and other factors.)
It's the ultimate spark plug. Available in stock heat range, or one range colder for high boost (18+ psi) race applications.
Install note: The iridium center electrode is very thin. Unlike a conventional plug, you cannot gap the plug by sandwiching a gap tool between the electrode and the ground strap, then pushing on the ground strap. The hard electrode will dig into the gap tool, and when you remove the gap tool, you'll break the electrode. Instead, adjust the ground strap by tapping it on a hard surface, or by pulling it gently with a tool; then measure the gap using your gap tool.

I have been using the Iridium spark plug in my YFZ 450 for over 2 years now without a single problem. The reason I purchased one was my bike was running pretty rough and half throttle would miss a little. I taken the carb off and cleaned it along with taking the air filter off. It still ran like crap. So when I was at our Yamaha shop, Bat Area Yamaha, mike tol;d me to try one of those plugs. Well it still done the missing. It ended up being the valves needed to be adjusted. But I am still running the Iridium plug.

I used the same technique for all my papers in school. My teachers said I was using plagiarism. No mystical magic powers were used in my reports I would reply...
