Helmet cams.....
« on: January 31, 2007, 05:54:36 PM »

Who has experience with them??

I am looking into possibly getting one in the near future.
I have looked at a few sites, but am open to input from anyone with experience in this area.

As a side note, I don't have a video recorder either and am trying to decide if I should get one of the smaller recorders offered by some of these companies, or just go with a standard hand held video recorder.

Any input greatly appreciated. Wink

In the November 2006 issue of DirtWheels on page 224, they have an article about Helmet Cam Rentals.
Check out the web www.helmetcamrentals.com or if you want to buy www.skullcamz.com or www.themotocam.com

You have better hurry up.  2-up riding will be illegal this year.

House Bill 2063 makes it illegal to carry passengers on Class I and Class III vehicles if they are not designed specifically for that purpose.  Check out the NEWS section under Senate Bill 49 for a list of all Bills before the 2007 Legislature.

I just took a look at the helmet cams.  They are pretty cool, but I dont know which one to get?  They are priced very resonable. I bet my wife would love one for Valentines Day. Grin

I haven't gotten too far into it because I was in the process of buying an enclosed trailer, and I am NOW in the process of buying a house.  I am thinking I might go with these guys>> http://www.helmetcamera.com/acart/agora.cgi?product=Complete_Packages&ppinc=Complete_Packages

If and when I am ready to purchase.  The only question then would be if I am going to purchase an expensive digital cam corder, or go with one of their units.  I still want to have good enough quality to be able to put the video onto a big screen when I am done.  Smiley
