Hey!
Check out the Forum Shop link next to Forum Home.
I found this nifty little modification, and I thought it looked like fun. I figured we could try it out and see if we like it.
You get "credits" for posting on the forum, and you can buy "items" that do certain things. You can also put items you've bought up for trade/sale, or give people credits!  Wink

edit: "Forum Shop" is now "Garage"

Yeah, I don't know if calling it a shop is a good idea, it will definitely confuse people with our actual store. It was originally just called Shop. But I changed it to Forum Shop to hopefully cut down on confusion. Any ideas for a different name?

Keep the name SHOP. or maybe garage.
Instead of getting credits we could call it "cc"'s .  Meaning that for every post etc, you get more cc's (engine displacement).  Then we could see who the big motor people are (size does matter). Then we could make up rewards for cc's.  Like 25 cc's buys nerf bars.  50 cc's buys a racing a arms etc.  We could see who can get the biggest and most tricked out atv.  Shocked

I think everyone should start out on a T.I. 50cc
Then with TBD posts get a choice of next size Polaris Outlaw 90, Honda TRX 90, Suzuki Quadsport Z90, Yamaha Raptor 80, Kawasaki KFX 90  (extra post needed to get Extreme 90  Sponsor TRD Innovations
Next level Artic Cat DVX 250, Can-am BPR DS250, Honda TRX250EX, Polaris Phoenix 200, Suzuki Quadsport Z250
Next level Artic Cat DVX 400, Honda TRX400EX, Suzuki Quadsport Z400, Yamaha Raptor 350
Next level Honda TRX450R, Kawasaki KFX 450, Suzuki LT-R450, Yamaha YFZ450
Next level  (not as many post needed to get here.  Many might prefer to just trick out their 450 than go bigger)
Can-am DS650X, Kawasaki KFX700, Polaris Outlaw 525, Yamaha Raptor 700R
We should keep them current with the new models every year.

Accessories...
K+N filter
Alba Performance Exhaust
Verde Powersports Graphics Kit
Pro Armor Racing Bumper and grab Bar
ITP Sand Star Tires
ITP Beadlock Wheels
Elka Shocks
Laeger's extended a-arms
IMS nerfbars
Quad Tech Seat cover
CDI box
Lonestar Extended Swingarm
Big Bore Kits
(try to keep them Sponsor specific)
suggestions?

The only problem with your ATV idea is that the way it works is people have to buy the atv with the cc's. So cc's are still basically just money. Also you could buy multiple atv's, and I don't know if that's a good idea. The other thing is I don't think there is a way to upgrade. Like, you have one item and it gets replaced by another...

Can the atv be sold back to the "garage" if you want to upgrade?  Like a trade in?  Or do we need to keep collecting cc's until you can get the ATV you want?

No you can't sell anything back to the garage. That's something I will be trying to integrate soon.

I just thought of this: What if we changed the "I-IN-INS-INSA-INSAN-INSANE!!" post ranking system to engines? The only catch would be that you don't have a choice of what engine you got.  Undecided Huh

By the way, all of the prices for everything are at 25 right now. I have no idea was a good price for anything would be. What are your thoughts?

What if instead of the I IN INS system and tires we get quads of different sizes based on posts.  Start with a generic 50cc then up to a generic 90 etc.  And then we can use the cc's to buy mods for them.

I'm not to sure using "cc" as money really makes much sense. I think we should go back to the "credit" form of money.

So what are the ATV levels going to be? DD you said start with a generic 50cc then up to a generic 90. So this is what I have so far:

Level one: Generic 50cc
Level two: Generic 90cc

is that actually what we want to call them? Is there something else like "50cc ATV"?? I don't really know that much about quad's. So if you guys could help me out. Here: Fill in the blanks:

Level one: _______
Level two: _______
Level three: _______
Level four: _______
Level five: _______
Level six: _______
if you want to go on you can..

Accessories:
Alba Performance Exhaust - $____
Big Bore Kits - $____
CDI box - $____
Elka Shocks - $____
IMS nerfbars - $____
ITP Beadlock Wheels - $____
ITP Sand Star Tires - $____
K+N filter - $____
Laeger's extended a-arms - $____
Lonestar Extended Swingarm - $____
Pro Armor Racing Bumper and grab Bar - $____
Quad Tech Seat cover - $____
Verde Powersports Graphics Kit - $____

If there is anything else you want to add, let me know what it is and how much to sell it for.

P.S. What do you think of my idea of an honorary wheel? It will be outrageously expensive and there's only one. So if you ever get your hands on it you can keep it for a while or pass it on to someone else or whatever.

As far as the cc's go, that is the engine size for example you can go from 50-80-90-110-125-150-175-200-250-300-350-400-450-660-700-800-there are others

New item in the garage!

Paint job
Give your display name a new paint job! Changes the color of your display name in topics.
This item can only be used once. After that you have to buy it again to change your color. So choose the color you want carefully!
