To plug in or not to plug in? That's the question. Have you thought about "Old Faithful" parked out in the driveway, night after scary night all alone, while freezing rain and snow cover it in a frozen tomb? All the while you snuggle in your warm bed with flannel PJ's and electric blankets.
Since night time temps have fallen into the teens this week, I have been plugging in the engine coolant heater on the diesel at night. The engine compartment feels warm in the morning when I unplug and the Wait to start Light is on for only a split second. The engine starts easier and warms up much faster.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a disillusioned, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
well, ok, not really that long.............but, temps here on the coast have been down in the mid 30's lately, and when I start my truck in the am.............the engine temp is between 95-120 depending on the cycle of the block heater..
I have had mine plugged in as well any time the temp drops into the 20's.
