COLD WINTER STARTING
« on: January 18, 2007, 11:14:49 AM »

To plug in or not to plug in?  That's the question.
Have you thought about "Old Faithful" parked out in the driveway, night after scary night all alone, while freezing rain and snow cover it in a frozen tomb?  All the while you snuggle in your warm bed with flannel PJ's and electric blankets.

Since night time temps have fallen into the teens this week, I have been plugging in the engine coolant heater on the diesel at night.  The engine compartment feels warm in the morning when I unplug and the Wait to start Light is on for only a split second.  The engine starts easier and warms up much faster.
