Worlds largest atv ride

Where is Amity and how long does it take to get there.  Is this a trail ride and if so what's the terrain like....just trying to determine which of my quads to do this ride on.  Have a great weekend!!

from what info I got it is a huge parade type ride with hopfully over 686 people on quads to regain the world record. It is located west of salem, or. time wise about 3 1/2-4 hrs from medford.

First of all, greetings!  I am pleased to join the forum and meet new ATV enthusiasts.

Well folks, here's the deal.  A lot of folks from the great Northwest helped me break the Guinness World record for the largest official ATV Parade in 2004. We did it with 282 ATV's as a Halloween Parade and a Toy and Food Drive for those less fortunate during the seasonal holidays. It was a huge success and we got the record. BBUUUTTT, an ATV group in Wisconsin trashed our achievement earlier this year. So, I will not let a bunch of cheeseheads take the record away from us! I am doing the parade again as a Halloween event (like last year). It will be on October 29th in Amity, Oregon. The parade will launch from the football stadium at 1200 (noon). We will begin registration at the stadium beginning at 0800. Costumes will be appreciated (think contest) and adult riders can throw candy to bystanders. ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS and obey motorcycle operational rules. The entry fee is one new toy (any type and or size) and two cans of food (or box, package, etc).  The local fire department is trying to make arrangements to send some of the toys to the kids of Katrina victims for Christmas, too.

Staging is at the stadium but trailer and vehicle parking will be in various areas of town.  I would recommend the high school itself.  You can ride the roadways on this day to get to the football field, but follow the rules, stay safe and maintain constant vigilence and control for youth riders accompanying you.

Please tell everyone to come and join the effort. It's for a good cause and we need to bring the record back here! Fellow Northwest ATV'ers, spread the word!!!!!!!! We can do this!

This will most likely be my last message regarding the parade as I need to knuckle down and prepare. I wanted to thank our souther Oregon ATV friends for their help in spreading the word and for coming up on such a long drive to help us get the Guinness record back. But mostly, record or not, thanks for helping with the toy and food drive. Your efforts will help a lot of kids not feel so hungry or disappointed this holiday season. NW ATV'ers rock! Please access Mapquest of Amity.  (I was unable to paste???) Coming into Amity from south on 99W, turn right on Sheridan to High School football field.  If parking your trailers is an issue (space), you will see the Junior High when coming into town on right, park and unload there if you wish.  Third option is to turn right on Rice Lane (several blocks past Sheridan) and unload at Elementary School.  Do not be alarmed, Amity is VERY small and all of these schools and the football field is literally within 6 blocks of each other.  Wherever you choose to unload, make your way carefully on your ATV to football field at HS (helmets and roadway rules apply).  Registration is behind bleachers.  Prepare for wet weather but pray for sun breaks.  See ya there.

I just want to thank Terry (afterburner) for being a wonderful host at the worlds biggest ATV ride. Ken was a joy to meet you and talk with you. I look forward to riding and planing many more events together. I would travel any time you need us to .

so did they break a record how many pepole did they get to show up.

around 350 riders showed up for the event. When terry contacted Guinness, they said we are still the world record holders. They are slow on updates, so only time will tell. It was a fun event however meeting all the folks you chat with on these sites and putting faces to the names.
