Spring swap meet coming
« on: November 29, 2006, 01:11:30 PM »

My most excellent wife (isn't that right honey pot.)  Oh yea, and bestest to the extreme, totally.

We were discussing getting the kids riding gear for Christmas this year.  However, when I informed her that boots will cost close to $100.00 each and the combo sets, pants, jersey, gloves, and boots, usually run $169.00 plus shipping, we decided to rethink this idea.  They will out grow them in a year (usually four or five riding weekends) and our kids are not close enough in age for "hand-me-downs.

We were wondering if you all fine people of the forum have any kid gear left lying around that you would like to get rid of (for a price).  We all know that kids will out grow their stuff every year and usually it will not have much wear and tear.

I posting the idea to the forum to see if Temporary Insandity has people looking to get rid of kid's stuff with people looking for kid's stuff.

That is a great idea DD(he's full of them).  I was wondering the same thing some time ago.  Actually it was the last time I went to buy kids boots.  I asked all over town if there was such a place that sold used riding gear for the little ones, no luck.  Business idea?

Hey DJ,

I'll give you props for your idea of a swap meet:

Great idea!  Man, I should have thought of that.  Now that's using your brain!

Worst part is, I was at the last meeting and I did not think of it.  Cry   I can't type and think at the same time.

But your right DJ, this would be a great idea to unload stuff and pick up new stuff.

Ok, we will be having a meeting real soon regarding this spring swap meet. Lots of good ideas so far, keep them coming so we can make it happen. I know there will be a live band, a BBQ fund raiser and lots of cool things for sale with huge dollars off.
