Beware of morons at resusa

We had 13 sites reserved for Thanksgiving at Horsfall Beach....today I got a phone message from resusa that our reservations were cancelled due to re-numbering of the sites and the campground is closed. Upon contacting resusa I was told that Horsfall Beach would be closed until 2050!!! After a few calls I got through to the USFS in Coos....spoke to a nice lady there and when I told her that resusa said the campground was closed until 2050....her comment was, "OH.....MY....GOD," she told me that Horsfall Beach will be closed for a short time next year to renumber sites (there will be fewer but wider sites) but that is not happening until next year. She said HB is open and will be open for Thanksgiving and until scheduled short closure next year. She was also informing her supervisors about the resusa cancellations. Upon contacting resusa (again) about what I was informed by the USFS......they would not contact the USFS.....kept stating that USFS would have to contact them to change the 2050 reopen date. The brain dead moron at resusa would not answer any of a number of simple questions.....she would only keep repeating her line of bovine effluent.....as of yet I have not been contacted by a resusa supervisor as I have requested. Update....I finally made contact with a very helpfull supervisor (Monica). To make a long story short, we now have new reservations....and all in our group were able to get new reservations. We don't all have our original sites but we do have our "row." I figure it will be interesting up there when someone shows up, not knowing they were cancelled, and their site is now reserved for someone else. Have a great day!!!
