If we are heading to a campground with full hookups, I usually put just enough water in so we can use the bathroom if we need to on the way.

We use a motor home, but when we know we'll be using hook ups - I estimate we carry about 10 Gallons.  We may be using some water as we travel, but try to keep down the weight.   Lips Sealed

I usually retain some water while I drive but, thanks to the Female Astronaut I will start wearing adult diapers to speed up my travel time to the Dunes.  In fact, I think we should have some T.I. diapers for the all day rides in the Sand.  I mean, who wants to stop to whiz and give up all that fun riding time?  Not me!

Think of it, your out having a great time when oop's gotta "go".  The first thing you have to do is find a private area, where nobody gets a peek and nobody gets offended,  no fish get killed, no native plants get poisoned.  When all you have to do is lean back on your bike and smile Grin

I never had a problem with the peeking or someone getting offended.  It was the annoyance of signing  all the autographs and pics.  I need to ride, not be made a spectacle of...

Plus, the benefit of a full diaper will offer some extra cushioning over bumps.   Wink

It's real funny how a topic like this can start off and take a turn like this.

I used to travel with the water tanks full.  But, it was causing me to be overloaded.  Be carefull of traveling with the tanks 1/2 full.  Usually they do no have baffles and the sloshing can cause a wild ride coming down some of these mountain passes.   Shocked
