Why is diesel fuel priced above $3.30 a gallon??? Reg. unleaded just dropped to $2.95 a gallon today. In a 30 gallon tank that's .35 cents a gallon or $10.50 a tank full. One tank a week for a year = $546.00 That buys a lot of quad upgrades.  |

towman saw the other day on the news that gas should be back to $2.00 a gallon around thankgiving................ could you imagine?  |

I can't imagine fuel being at $2.00 a gallon! what a crazy thought. heck, it hasn't been that low in 5 years!

I heard the same thing but I'll wait to see it before I get too excited. Now if diesel would go down, I filled up this weekend to go camping and OUCH. We just bought a Honda Civic to drive around town and parked the truck and Suburban as much as we can. We figured we will save more in gas then the car payment.

Did you all see on the news today that the major oil companys found one of the biggest deposits of oil in history off the coast of louisana. They said on the news that gas prices should really drop when they start pumping oil there.
I still think that the oil companys are gouging us because of the war.

The spread in price from diesel to reg. gas is now .53 cents a gallon. At thirty gallons a week .53 x 30 = $15.90 x 52 weeks = $826.80.  Is it time to go get a big block? |

The spread in price from diesel to reg. gas is now .53 cents a gallon. At thirty gallons a week .53 x 30 = $15.90 x 52 weeks = $826.80. Is it time to go get a big block? Except you forget the gas mileage in a diesel is quite a bit higher than a gas truck when towing a decent sixed trailer.  |
