we were at the Ford dealership and almost purchased a 04 6.0 ltr powerstroke. The Nice GM (after talking with the wife) told us to go to Dodge and buy the Cummins. I'm glad he did.

would still love to have a cummins powered F-350 with an allison tranny.... wishful thinking, but I would buy one

I know I'm a little behind here but I've been a Ford man for years so I thought I would put my two cents in.  It's sad to see that Ford has had so many problems with there new engine. Luckily I have a 1997 F-350 Power Stroke with the 7.3 in it. I only have  69,000 miles on it and with the 3-4 thousand miles I put on it a year it should be in the drive way for a long time. Hopfully by the time I need a new truck Ford has pulled there head out of the sand dune and have a good truck for me to buy. If not I too will jump ship and probably go to a Chevy.
