After you get the bikes home and washed, what do you put on your plastics? Armor all? anything to keep them shiney and looking new?
I try to wipe them done with armor all, and then put them in the garage and covered up with blankets! That way they are ready for the next trip!

I do that, and I thinking that the armor all keep the plastic more plyable, less chance of cracking in a roll over.
I clean the weekend after a trip and go over the quads to inspect anything that could be loose or broke, fix it and pull them into the trailer for the next trip.

Note of caution, Armor All sometimes doesn't react well to the polymers in certain plastics for the long haul. Try Torco Silicon spray. It restores the plastic, fills crazing, will not build up and can be used on all surfaces, including metal and plastic. It does great at repelling dirt and mud too. Just my $.02.

Another thing, do not let the Armor all get on your seat. It will make it so slick you can't stay on the bike. I ended up having that non skid put into my new seat cover to stop that.
I also use that silicon spray to.

For the people who really like thier bikes to shine , you can use Turtle Wax "ice" . I use it w/ a car buffer on my black plastics when they start looking a little scratched up and it really brings the shine back out of the plastics , then , just for good measure , I'll shoot some of the torco silicone detailing spray on it , leave it sit over night , polish it off in the morning . It sure sounds like a lot of work , but the end result is worth it . Oh yea.... besides working construction during the day , selling diesel hot rod parts on the evenings and weekends , I also detail cars and bikes in my spare time .
