My monitor is installed at he base of the piller, I have the edge attitude with juice, so, I have all of my gauges in one little box.  Its nice because it monitors a bunch of stuff and you can change what it monitors and where it is displayed as well.  It will also give me my 0-60 time and 1/4 mile times too! I like (and have) the Autometer Lunar series. But if I had the money, I would have gotten the C2 series.http://www.shopdiesel.com/index.cfm/action/productdetail/product_id/507.htm

When I looked for guages, Shopdiesel had the best prices on complete sets.
If you have an auto tranny then a trans temp guage is a must.

I guess I am an accident waiting to happen. On my dodge the only guages that I have is what come on the pu. I put the Edge Controller on it and haven't touched it. I now have just a little less than 5000 miles on it pulling the trailer. Nothing has happened yet, I sure hope it don't either.

Odds are you wont have anything go wrong, but having that guage is a nice thing. I towed my 5er for almost 4 years without a guage, and only overheated my tranny once(thats all it takes) Angry
With a rebuild and a new torque converter running in the 2500-3000 dollar range, I figured 50 bucks is cheap insurance.

BTW I have yet to rebuild the tranny, but replaced the converter due to slippage while towing. I overheated while backing up my street and caught the temp rise before it too much damage. I figure I can limp this tranny another couple of months Grin

Last year when I bought my Dodge, I also purchased the 7 year warentee to. So with the bumper to bumper warentee, I shouldn't have to wory about it that much. But I do keep an eye on my motor temp.

I also kept my BD dep sump oil pan for my transmission off my other pickup. I looked at the one I have now and compared it to the BD pan and they look the same. I hope so, I paid $350.00 for it and I am wanting to make use of it on my new truck.
