LTR 450

We went out this last weekend and rode with some really fun Friends. As one came up Saturday Morning he brought with him a new Suzuki LTR450. What a fun quad to ride. No bump steer in the whoops, very fast, instant throttle responce and from what I can tell faster and smoother than the YFZ, or TRX. A shootout will be interesting to see.

I am not scarred! I would like to line my YFZ up with one! I can't promise I will win, but, I am pretty confident in my bike!

I have ridden many yfz's and I love them, Infact thats what I told my wife I wanted. Then Ken brings out the R450 and now I am so confused I don't know what to get. Last weekend I rode the Z400,R450,YFZ450,700 Raptor, and 2 DS650's. The 700 Raptor is also a great bike for the dunes.

The Suzuki has been around for a long time. But the Yamahas and Hondas seem to be more advanced than the Suzuki anymore. I mean, why has it taken so long for Suzuki to come out with the new 450's. It would seem that the big race is between Yamaha and Honda. Even Honda was really late comming out with the 450's.
My personal feelings is, and not because I have one, is if I went to buy another bike, I would defanately be buying the YFZ 450. The main reason is that there is parts and accessories everywhere you go. Also, the YFZ hasn't had any problems with them at all, as far as I know. And the Honda has a hot start problem, from what I have been told. I don't think its that big of deal tho. I also really like that new 700 Raptor. That seems to be quite the bike.

I agree with that to a point, but, with the r&d Suzuki did and waited to come out, could they have got it right the first time and not have to keep changing the quad drastically over the next several years? I think that if I had to buy a new one today I would get the 700 Raptor.

I would stick to the YFZ, only because I like the way it feels, I am not sure why, I just like the way the YFZ feels under me, now, I have not been on a new 700 yet though.
