Best Route to take
« on: January 27, 2006, 11:31:29 AM »

I am going to Daimond Lake next week and am wondering which way to go.

I am coming from the coast, however, when I get to Grants Pass, I have 2 options.

1. Go to the Gold Hill exit and take that route or;
2. GO up I-5 to Route 138 and go across, (which is 50 miles longer)

Any suggestions from you folks over in the valley?

I would take the Gold hill exit. If theres any snow they take care of it right any on that Hwy. If you haven't been to the Rouge Gorge and have time to stop I would highly recommend it. There is a nice spot to stop in Union Creek and see it right on the way to Diamond Lake. Have fun up there in the snow and let me know how it was, I think were going up for a day trip on the 12th.

I agree with bigAl. When you get into town give me a call and we can have a beer together.
