T.I. Poker Run at SandFest 2010
« on: February 11, 2010, 02:18:37 PM »

Get your vacation plans in.  We are running the Poker Run Friday July 2nd at Box Car during SandFest.  Come on out for the fun.

Under Permit From the U.S.F.S.  Sound check required to run the course.  However, Poker Hands can be purchased and played at the T.I. tent if you are not able to ride the Dunes.

See ya there..

I can give a factor of 2db's.  So 95 is the limit.  No way the U.S.F.S. will go to 99.  In fact, there is discussion on making Oregon 96db's like Cali.  Quiet will be the name of the game in the future.  If we want to maintain our riding areas we need to quiet our bikes.  I have a Full Alba exhaust system and no air box with a K&N filter on my Polaris 525 KTM Oultaw.  With the quiet insert and whisper tip, I am right on 93 db's and the ATV pulls hard  Wink.

KTM makes one of the quietest dirt bikes.  They run hard and are substantially quieter than a Yamaha or Honda!  It is amazing at what can be done.  I sound checked for the MRA Hare Scrabble and the KTM's tested in the high 80's to very low 90's.  The other bikes were at the 99 max or more.  That 10 db increase sounds twice as loud to our ears.  And 100 times as loud to our haters.

Would be great Sanddemmon, but they are talking about decreasing the limit?  We will see

Hey guys, remember me!  Long time no chat.  I am in for Sandfest '10 - After I purchase a spot -  and most likely will bring the wife, and both kids. - The wife says she'll go if I take care of the kids at night so she can enjoy a glass or two of wine.
Yah Right, more like a bottle or two. <- J/K sort of,  - No night rides for me but the day time is wide open.
