Hello!!!
« on: February 03, 2010, 06:19:32 PM »

Hello TI!
My name is Christi and I ride a KTM 125 sx and a Yamaha Banshee. My husband also has a banshee and my son who is 6 has a 50 quad and a 50 dirt bike.

I recently moved here from Central Oregon where I was very active in COMAC (Central Oregon Motorcycle and ATV Club). I am very passionate about our land use rights and hope to be very involved with any issues that may effect ATV enthusiasts. I have just enrolled into College and am pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Communications in hopes that one day I can be very involved with an organization to ensure our riding privileges are preserved.

I am very happy to have located TI and cannot wait to become involved in more rides and events, printed off my membership agreement and will have that in ASAP.

Mine and my husbands banshee are fresh out of the shop and need broke in....DUNES TRIP ASAP!!!!

Can't wait to meet you all and go ride!

christi,
welcome to T.I. This is a greet club, you will find a very active membership here. We get involved in everything, dune clean ups, Sand Fest, group rides, even get up to the snow in the winter to play. We have alot of great sponsors and this cool website where you can meet people, post pictures, buy and sell stuff. Keep an eye on TTrips and Events or the general section to see when  people are  going out for rides and where.
How long have you all been riding? Who built your Banshees? what did you have done to them? pictures?
Have you been on the Oregon dunes much? where do like to ride most?Boundary'ss are changing be sure to check it out before going.

Welcome to Temporary Insandity!!!

If you have questions about up-coming rides - first check the Calendar here.  Our next ride will be at Diamond Lake for a day trip on the 6th of March.

There are issue going on right now with the Dune area (land issues) So stay tuned to that discussion as we need all the help we can get.

You can contact me directly if you like as Sandflicker@gmail.com too.

Again Welcome!

We have Chris at CP Racing in White City do all our work on our banshees that we don't do ourselves. On my banshee we did a port job and I got my case ported as well and got a high compression head. I have not heard back yet if it needs to be bored or not so I will know next week if that's going to be done. It's in the shop almost done....I can't wait!!! I did spend a ton of money though on making it shiny! My jugs and case are polished (or going to be) And I just bought a polished stator cover, water pump cover, and clutch cover insert. So she is pretty! And I also just got a set of T5's for it and it has a 4" extended swingarm, and I got rid of the air box and am running dual K&N's. Then typical stuff like new shift forks, new sprockets, I have converted it to a twist throttle and am also purchasing carbon fiber reeds for it. THANK GOODNESS FOR TAX RETURNS! Hahaha!

I don't have a clue what was all done to my hubby's bike...ridiculous stuff I know....hot rod crank, major port and bore, Paul Turner Head with 19 domes....so much I can't even remember....other than I know it cost a lot. He also just purchased CPI drag racing pipes for it. I will ask him what was all done and update you. No pictures as of right now, my bike is down to the frame and my hubby is getting his plastics repainted....but I definitely am going to do before and after pictures on both our bikes, I can't wait!!!
My KTM 125sx is stock....no need to mess with the best! (except I did put the Scary Fast PowerNow's in the carb) and an FMF Gold Series Fatty Pipe, nothing too special....like I said... no need to mess with the best. YAY KTM!!!

They sound like some very nice rides. Look forward to seeing some pictures. It is amazing how fast you can pour money into a build up. But oh so worth it. That's cool you converted to a twist throttle , I have all my Quads converted to twist throttles. Some friends do to.  There great.
Thanks for the update.  Grin
