Newbie - Jarrod here -
« on: June 30, 2009, 12:10:00 PM »

Just joined!       I found the forum via google search.

Hello!

I figure it is the only way to get to know folks that actually go riding.
The people I go with only go once or twice a year and I want to go ten times that.
Personally I don't understand owning something you only use once a year but, that is just me.
Anway, I ride a 2008 Raptor 700.  My first quad was a '99 400ex and my 2nd quad was also a 400ex.
After learning, wrecking, and breaking the first two, I figured I needed more horsepower so I could get hurt faster.  j/k
I was a Honda guy but, I just had to go to the dark side and buy a Yamaha.  I must say I am totally impressed!

Family:  Wife, 2 year old daughter, and bun in the oven due Jan 1 2010.  New Years Baby!
The wife doesn't really ride so this means I will be solo most of the time unless this group has family trips with other wives that either ride or hang out at camp.

Looking forward to finding my way down to Horsfall and going riding with some of you.

Cool --- Welcome Jarrod.

As a matter of fact - we are mostly a family oriented club.  So - the wives ride - the guys ride - the kids ride.

We like to get in an all guy ride when we can - but you'd be surprised how well the wives and kids ride too. (I'm not gettin' in trouble).

So check us out.  We'll be looking for you at Sandfest - and the Temporary Insandity Trailer is easy to spot.

Welcome Jarrod,
you found the right club. We love to ride. All of us, wives , children, friends , family's, groups big and small, some planned some not.
Myself , I ride year around . My wife and daughter love the better weather in summer and spring. I ride mostly at Winchester Bay, and Florence when I'm not at windy bay. I ride a Banshee and so does the wife, daughter rides a Blaster.  I post when and where I ride on here.  And load up pictures after the ride on here as well.
It's fun to see how the dunes change thru the seasons.  The summer winds can mix it up in just one day too.

Yah, I hear you on the changing dunes.  I was at Florence in May and from morning till afternoon this one particular bowl changed drastically.   At first I thought we were in a different spot but, a buddy pointed out the landscape.

I am off for the summer so I can go whenever.
