Banshee and Blaster

  I heard that 2006 is the last year of the banshee and the blaster. I knew the end would be coming, but 06 just seems too soon.

From Yamaha's site it notes "The End of an Era" for the Banshee.

It does not mention the Blaster. When I bought my 01, the dealer stated it would most likely go away in 06. And as rumored its demise seems to be nearing. To bad, because it's one hell of a bike and after all of it's years of service it saw very few changes, yet remained very competative. I'll keep mine for as long as I can or until it falls apart and parts become too expensive or hard to get.
