No one likes a loose helmet . I found my xxl helmet just a little loose ( the same xl helmet was to tight)
and mentioned it to a local dealer.
He pulled a " helmet beanie" off the shelf next to the helmets in his shop. They come in different styles and colors.
There pretty thin but make up about a half size in the helmet. It eliminated the looseness of my helmet.
