SWING ARM BANSHEE SLC QUAD CUSTOMS
« on: July 16, 2008, 08:06:35 AM »

Anyone looking for a new swing arm ? Give SLC QUAD CUSTOMS  a  try. There in OREGON now, 801-548-2710 =Lance
web site = slcquadcustoms.com
I have 2 long weekends of riding on my new swing arm. no problems.  ( the quad too  ) LOL.
The price is great, the welds are clean and the chroming was good . Shipping for mine was 4-5 weeks because it was custom made with larger tubing. otherwise most popular swing arms are ready to ship in 3-4 weeks or less. Mine is the triangulated type.

Here is a mini tutorial I wrote to help everyone who doesn't know how to post pictures be able to post them.

1. Host your photos somewhere (imageshack.com, photobucket.com, etc.)

2. Get the url for the picture. Example: http://www.pittraffic.com/logo.gif

3. Place the picture url between the IMG tag.

Code:

4. Enjoy your new skill Smiley

note: your picture url MUST end in .jpg or .gif other formats won't work. If you host pics at picasa, see the post on how to post from there.

For PICASA:

We're gonna use this photo as an example.
Quote:

Ok. The link here is the link to the website which not only has the photo you want to use, but a lot of other stuff. The reason it doesn't work is because of the # in the address bar. phpBB doesn't recognize that as being a valid character to use in a URL or picture and therefore won't display what you want.

SO...

What you do is go to Picasa and right click on the picture you want to post. Go to properties and get the web address (this is where the file is actually stored). The example picture's properties says it's here:

Code:
http://lh4.google.com/quad4fun1/R1YqVGaxj3I/AAAAAAAAADU/eGscPd0SqLM/%5C%5Cathena%5Cdfsroot%5C61Home%5Cclin0996%5CMy%20Pictures%5CMicrosoft%20Clip%20Organizer%5CD58DDBAB.jpg?imgmax=512

If you look closely at the end, imgmax=512 is not a picture file (only jpg, or gif). However right before that is .jpg? so you just want to get rid of everything after the .jpg (or .gif). You can't use a .bmp, but you can try to rename the file to .jpg (sometimes that works) if the ending in .bmp, or look to see if there is a .jpg in the name and use that.

For example:

Code:
http://lh6.google.com/quad4fun1/R1YkBmaxjxI/AAAAAAAAACc/fnxLAxOZgpg/%5C%5Cathena%5Cdfsroot%5C61Desktops%5Cclin0996%5CBAckyard_2.bmp?imgmax=512

See how it ends in .bmp?imgmax=512? That won't work. You need to take off the ?imgmax=512 and change the .bmp to .jpg (or .gif).

It should look like this:
Code:
http://lh6.google.com/quad4fun1/R1YkBmaxjxI/AAAAAAAAACc/fnxLAxOZgpg/%5C%5Cathena%5Cdfsroot%5C61Desktops%5Cclin0996%5CBAckyard_2.jpg

And VOILA! picasa picture posting perfected.

Hope that helps some of you that don't know how to post pics or are having trouble!
